A family portrait session shouldn't feel like a photo shoot. I direct the time together and let you be yourselves, timed around sunrise or sunset and around your children's age and routine, at the studio or somewhere that means something to you.
How it works
Directed, not posed.
I don't ask anyone to hold a smile. I direct the session, set up moments that let your family move and talk and be themselves, and stay ready for the interaction between you that's actually worth keeping. That's true whether you've got a toddler who won't sit still or teenagers who'd rather be anywhere else.
Sessions run around sunrise or sunset, in the best light of the day, and timed to suit your children's age and their routine. An early start for a family of early risers, a late afternoon session for a household that comes alive after school.

Blended, multi-generation, however you look today.
Family doesn't mean one shape. We photograph blended families, multi-generation groups with grandparents down to the newest baby, and every combination in between. The session is planned around who's actually in your household, not a template.
We can work at the studio, or on location somewhere that matters to you: the hills, a garden, the beach, your own backyard. We plan the where and when together at your consultation, before the day itself.
