The experience

Three meetings, and artwork you'll keep for good.

A portrait experience shouldn't feel like a transaction. Ours runs across three unhurried meetings, one family at a time, and ends with artisan-printed artwork you collect from the Belgrave gallery.

Meeting one

The consultation

We start with an hour together at the gallery, by appointment. You'll see and hold finished artwork, so you know exactly what the craft looks like before you decide anything. You'll see prices openly, the same way. And we'll get to know each other, because I photograph relationships, and that starts with understanding yours.

By the end of the hour we'll have planned your session: the location, the light, who's coming, and what you're hoping to see on your wall.

Meeting two

The session

Your session happens around sunrise or sunset, in the best light of the day, timed around your children's age and routine. At the studio, or at a place that means something to your family: the hills, a garden, the beach, your own paddock.

I don't pose people. I direct the session and let you be yourselves, because the portraits worth keeping come from the way you actually are together.

Meeting three

The design appointment

Within a week of your session you're back at the gallery, seeing your portraits for the first time. Together we choose your favourites and design how they'll live in your home: a statement piece above the sofa, a collection down the hallway, an album on the coffee table.

Bring photographs of your walls. We design for your actual rooms, not for a shopping cart.

Then, within three weeks

Your artwork, ready to collect.

Every piece is artisan printed to archival standards and hand-finished. Within three weeks of your design appointment it's ready for collection from the Belgrave gallery, and the trip back to pick it up is a small occasion of its own.

Honest pricing

What it costs, plainly.

Every price is shown openly at your consultation, before you commit to anything. The portrait session is $200, payable at your consultation only if you decide to go ahead. After that the artwork is the investment, and you choose it piece by piece at the design appointment.

  • Portrait session $200
  • Premium canvas wall art from $450
  • Designer Portfolio Prints from $250
  • Keepsake Art Albums from $3,500
  • Wall Art Collections from $2,750

All prices include GST. Most families invest between $1,500 and $3,000, and payment plans are available. We don't sell full-resolution digital files on their own; files accompany the larger packages.
