Couples portraits
Not just engagements. Whatever chapter you're in.
Some couples come to us newly together. Some have been married thirty years and have never had a portrait made of just the two of them. Every session is directed around your relationship, in the light that suits it best.
Directed, not posed
I photograph what happens between you.
I don't hand you a pose and ask you to hold it. I direct the session, giving you something real to do together, and photograph the way you actually stand, talk and look at each other. That's where the honest portraits come from, whether you've been together two years or twenty.
Sessions are timed around sunrise or sunset, the two windows where the light does the most work for us, and planned together at your consultation.
Studio or location
Wherever feels like you.
Some couples want the studio: a clean black background, close and quiet. Others want the hills, a beach at first light, or a walk through the property with the dogs along for it. We'll settle on the location at your consultation, once we know what the two of you are actually like together.
A milestone anniversary is reason enough on its own. So is no reason at all beyond wanting one honest portrait of the two of you, made properly, before another year slips past without it.

Start with the conversation.
An hour at the Belgrave gallery, by appointment. See the artwork, see the prices, and plan your session from there.
